In a small group setting you will be guided by me into an space where you can be seen as you are and feel safe to share whatever it is you are going through. This a place to feel supported, and seen, uninterrupted. No advice given, just the power of listening and being vulnerable with others, and sharing our 

humanity. Seeing the same faces every time can be soothing and help you feel more comfortable to open up. ​

Pain Support Group

Online

Living with persisting pain is hard.
 
It is a unique experience full of uncertainty, medical appointments, ups and downs and of course pain. Living with the struggles of persisting pain can be especially difficult if you feel like a burden to those around, or when no one seems to understand you.
 
This support group is for you, if you yearn for more support and don’t know where to turn. The community is there for you to feel heard, to feel connected and to remind you that you are not alone.
 
I want this space to help you feel calmer, less anxious, and leave you feeling more hopeful. It is a space for you to express whatever it is that you feel is weighing on you in the moment, be that the messiness, the desires, the uncertainty, or simply a time to reflect. You can share as much or as little as you choose.

What does joining a group look like?

 

  • A 90-minute online experience to make space for you to share, reflect and to feel connected by your common experience. 

  • You will experience what it’s like to have space to express yourself uninterrupted, without judgment or being given (unsolicited) advice by others. Of course you can ask for advice if that it what you are looking for.

  • A chance to hear how others having a similar experience can relate to you.

  • A chance for you to connect with your inner sense of calm through brief guided meditation at the beginning and end of each session.

  • No imposed theme or goal of the session other than those of your own wishes.

  • Intimate group experience (4 people max. per group)

  • Safe and friendly non-judgemental space

  • 5 sessions spaced out every 2 weeks for a period of 2.5 months 

  • This will require a commitment for you to show up for all 5 sessions. (Dates are flexible if everyone in the group agrees)


What do I offer?

  • 8+ years of working with people with persisting pain as a registered physiotherapist in the Netherlands

  • Personal experiences in sharing circles and the power of sharing your experiences in a safe space.

  • A calm and grounded energy to hold space and keep the gathering on track.

  • Experience creating a safe and intimate setting online.

The groups are first come first serve. Once the group is full, I will send a link out for payment to reserve you spot. If you don't get a spot this round, you will be on the waiting list for next round and the first to claim a spot. Depending on the amount of signups I may choose to open a second group in the same time if possible.

FREE Support

I host a free, online, group support session 1x/month. This is a 90 minutes of free support and a place to meet new people going through something similar. 

This a place to feel supported, seen and uninterrupted. No advice given, just the power of listening and being vulnerable with other in a safe space.

This is also a great way to meet me and see how you feel about my energy and my approach. Although this is very different than coaching, it;s still a great way to connect with me and others.
